**Instructions to VESIT Hack IT Participants** --- We are using Marchup, an AI-powered student-focused professional development platform, to host the VESIT Hack IT event. Check spam/all-mail folder if you can’t find the email. If you can’t locate the invitation in email, you can register for free directly at [https://marchup.net/user/auth/signup](https://marchup.net/user/auth/signup) You must complete the registration before the hackathon event start. # Setup hackathon project space in Marchup ## Create a child space * Create a child space for your project at [https://marchup.net/s/ves-hack-it-2025/space/space/child-spaces](https://marchup.net/s/ves-hack-it-2025/space/space/child-spaces) * Add top-level project summary in the about section. * Make sure you set the advanced space setting to “Private” so you project idea is not visible externally during the competition. If you miss this step during space creation, you can change the security settings for the space by clicking the settings icon in the top right corner of your space page.  * You can add webpages and the gallery module while creating the space ## Add details to the space You can add more details by editing the about page of your space, creating webpages, adding to the stream blog, uploading pictures to the gallery etc ## Add your team members to the space You can invite your team members to join your space by clicking the invite button in the space.  --- # During the event * Add more details about your project, pictures to the gallery, the progress in the stream blog throughout the hackathon. * Add github repository URL for the project in space social links * Use this space to present to the judges for each step of the competion # After the event * IMPORTANT: Change the security settings of your space by clicking the cog icon on the top right to public. This ensures your project is visible publicly so you can share it in your resume/applications etc as proof of participation and achievement in the future. * Set *Visibility* to “Visible for all” and *Default Content Visibility* to “Public”
