A website that connects people to animal shelters.

Winners of the OhloneHacks2025 Health Track\ \ Over 900,000 animals are killed in animal shelters each year due to overcrowding. PetSavior is a website that connects shelter pets to people with distinct needs for pets that fit their criteria. If you are looking for dogs that are able to live in certain tiny houses, or you don't have a backyard, we can look for a pet that's perfect for you. We automatically populate our database using online information of animal shelters and find the best pets to match you with. \ \ We utilized Python, FastAPI, NiceGUI, AWS RDS, MySQL, Render, and Beautiful Soup.\ \ This is a hackathon project at Onlone Hacks created by Jianqi (Alex) Shi, Brandon Hu, Dmitriy Gamolya, Andy Martin-Valencia.
